Put Your Staking Points to Work: Introducing the ChainGPT Pad Staking Points Marketplace
The Staking Points Marketplace is now live on ChainGPT Pad: a new way for stakers to earn from points they are not using, and for everyone else to access the Pad for exactly as long as they need.
Your staking points have always had utility. Now that utility has a market.
The Staking Points Marketplace on ChainGPT Pad is built around one simple idea: rent the use of staking points for a fixed period. Stakers can offer their available CGPTsp to other users at a price they choose. Renters can add points to their usable balance without opening a $CGPT stake of their own.
The underlying $CGPT stays staked the whole time. What changes hands, temporarily and on terms both sides agree to, is the use of the points.
The marketplace is live now. Explore the Staking Points Marketplace.
What are CGPTsp?
CGPTsp are ChainGPT staking points. Every $CGPT you stake earns them, based on the amount staked and the staking pool's point multiplier. Longer lock periods earn more points per token.
Those points are your access layer on ChainGPT Pad. They set your tier and feed into point-based eligibility, allocations, boosts, and rewards across IDOs, Public Sales, Launchdrops, Giveaways, and Buzz campaigns.
CGPTsp are not tokens. They measure your standing on the platform, which is why renting them moves access, not ownership.
For stakers: put your idle points to work
Plenty of stakers hold more points than they actively use. Until now, that surplus just sat there. The marketplace lets you offer it to others.
To list your points:
- Choose an eligible staking pool.
- Decide how many points to lend.
- Set the rental duration and a total price for the full period.
- Select the payment currencies you accept: USDT, USDC, or $CGPT.
When a rental completes, you receive 70% of the rental payment in the selected currency. The remaining 30% is split between the platform treasury (20%) and a $CGPT buy-and-burn allocation (10%). Network fees are separate.
Your $CGPT never leaves its staking pool, and renting does not unstake it. Listing points does not reduce your usable balance on its own. Once a rental settles, those points count for the renter instead of you until the rental ends, so check the effect on your tier and any campaigns you plan to join before you list.
For renters: access on your own timeline
Want to join ChainGPT Pad without locking up $CGPT? Or need a few more points to reach the next tier for a specific launch? Renting covers both.
Browse the available listings, or post a request with the point amount, duration, and price you want and let stakers come to you. Once a rental is confirmed and shows in your Pad profile, the rented points add to your usable balance for the agreed period. Existing stakers can rent on top of their own stake.
Those points count toward supported point-based benefits across the platform. Each campaign's own rules still apply, including registration, KYC where required, regional eligibility, and snapshot dates.
Renting gives you temporary use of the points' utility. It does not buy campaign tokens or guarantee an allocation or reward.
How a deal works
- Choose your role. Offer points from an eligible stake, take an existing listing, or post a rental request.
- Review the full deal. Check the points, rental duration, total USD price, payment token amount, and fees. The listed price covers the whole rental, not a single day.
- Approve and confirm. Complete any required token approval, then confirm the settlement transaction in your wallet. An approval on its own does not pay for a rental.
- Check the result. Once the transaction is final and processed, confirm the rental record and your updated point balance in Pad.
Payment is made upfront for the full period and settles on-chain in a single transaction. When the rental ends, the points stop counting for the renter and return to the lender. Rentals do not auto-renew.
A practical example
Say a staker lists 20,000 available points for 30 days at a total price of $100, and another user takes the deal in USDC.
- The lender receives $70.
- $20 goes to the platform treasury.
- $10 is allocated to $CGPT buy-and-burn.
For those 30 days, the lender has 20,000 fewer usable points and the renter has 20,000 more. The lender's $CGPT stays in its staking pool throughout. When the rental ends, both balances return to normal.
The renter should pick a rental period that covers every eligibility and snapshot date for the campaigns they want to join.
Why a market for staking points
Launchpad tiers have traditionally worked as a binary gate: stake enough for long enough, or stay outside. That model rewards commitment, but it ties up capital between launches and prices out people who only need access for one window.
The Staking Points Marketplace separates access from the lockup. Long-term stakers keep their positions and set their own price for points they are not using. Newcomers pay for the time they need instead of committing to a lock period that may not fit their plans. Prices come from the participants themselves, through listings and requests.
Stakers earn. Everyone gets in.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to stake $CGPT to rent points?
No. Renting lets you use points without opening your own stake. You need a compatible wallet, the payment funds, and enough of the network token to cover gas.
Can I rent points if I already stake?
Yes. Rented points add to your usable balance on top of your own while the rental is active.
Does my $CGPT leave my staking pool when I rent out points?
No. Your $CGPT stays in its pool and is not unstaked or transferred to the renter. Only the renter's payment moves, when the rental settles.
Do I keep my staking rewards while my points are rented?
Yes. Renting out points does not change your stake or how its token rewards are calculated, and the renter does not receive them. You do give up the rented points' contribution to tiers, allocations, boosts, and campaign rewards for the rental period. Rental payments are separate from staking rewards and are not a guaranteed yield.
Which staking pools can I rent points from?
Use the eligible pools shown in the marketplace's pool selector. Your stake must stay locked through the end of the rental, so a position close to unlocking may not qualify.
How long can a rental last?
Between 14 and 365 days. Because the lender's stake must remain locked through the rental, the maximum for a given listing may be shorter.
Is the price per day or for the whole rental?
The USD price covers the full rental period. The payment token amount is calculated from a current price quote, so check the final amount before you confirm.
Who sets the price?
The person creating the listing or request. A deal only happens when someone else accepts it.
Which currencies can I pay or be paid in?
USDT, USDC, and $CGPT. Each listing may accept only some of these, so check the payment options on the deal.
What are the fees?
The lender receives 70% of the rental payment. The other 30% goes to the platform: 20% to the treasury and 10% to $CGPT buy-and-burn. Network gas fees are separate.
Do I need KYC to use the marketplace?
Not to rent or list points. KYC still applies to any campaign that requires it, and regional restrictions continue to apply.
Can I use rented points for any campaign?
Rented points count across supported ChainGPT Pad features that use staking points, including IDOs, Public Sales, Launchdrops, Giveaways, and Buzz. Each campaign sets its own rules and snapshot timing, and renting does not guarantee an allocation.
How fast do rented points become usable?
There is no guaranteed instant activation. The rental must settle, reach blockchain finality, and be processed by the platform. Wait until Pad shows your updated balance before relying on it for a campaign deadline.
Does listing my points lower my tier right away?
No. Your usable balance only changes once a rental settles.
Can I cancel a listing or request?
Yes, as long as no one has filled it yet. Cancelling does not reverse a rental that has already completed.
Can a rental be ended early?
No. Once a rental settles, it runs until the agreed end time, so plan around it.
Can I take part of a listing?
No. Each listing is filled as one complete deal. If you need a different amount, choose another listing or post your own request.
Can I rent out points I rented from someone else?
No. Only points backed by your own locked stake can be listed.
What happens when the rental ends?
The rented points stop counting for the renter and return to the lender. The renter's tier may drop, and the rental does not renew automatically.
Will I get a refund if a campaign is delayed or cancelled?
A point rental and a project campaign are separate arrangements. Renting does not include a refund if a project delays or cancels its launch, so check campaign timing before you rent.
Where can I get help?
Check your rental record and transaction hash first. For a pending transaction or other issue, contact ChainGPT support with your wallet address, order details, and transaction hash. Never share your seed phrase or private key.
